Frankenstein

To everyone who posted a comment to the "Christ on a bike!" entry: do not fight. Please. Salem made an attack on my intellectual integrity, and I can understand why someone would do such a thing. I have done the same thing to others, specifically because far too often people who spout off things that sound intellectual when in fact they know very little about what they speak of. This tends to be misleading, especially for other intellectuals who are looking for decent and open-minded conversation. Though I appreciate the activity on my blog, I do not care for the negative tone so many people are taking because of it. Now for responses to the individual people.

To Salem: Please keep commenting. I appreciate the insight you have, even if no one else seems to. I know for a fact we could have some wonderful discussions, and I would really like them to happen some day.

To Adelina: Salem seems like a true intellectual with much to say and more to think. I would personally like to continue conversations with him. I do appreciate your standing up for me, but everyone deserves their fair chance. You gave that chance to me once, and I feel that Salem deserves the same chance I had. Please give him that chance. Also, I consider The Girl from Two Floors Up to be an amazing person. Sure, we had some misunderstandings, but things are getting better between us (I feel) and I am pretty sure we will end up friends. Again, I appreciate your concern for me. And know that I will always have the same concern for you.

To The Girl from Two Floors Up: Thank you for standing up for me, but Adelina is a very good friend of mine. She knows me like few people do. She gets extremely bothered by psuedo-intellectuals, as well as peronal attacks on her. You are absolutely correct in saying that I like a good debate, and as always I appreciate your perspective on things.

To Giggle Puppy (the other anonymous commenter): As I expressed to Adelina, Salem deserves a fair chance. You also gave me a chance once, whether it be because we share a mutual friend or not is irrelevant. As far as the vocabulary is concerned, I personally think it's nice to hear once in a while. I appreciate your concern for the issue and your standing up for me.

To The Little Whiskey Girl: I thank you as well for your concern. Sorry about not being able to hang out. Give me a call sometime, and we'll do something. Adelina and Giggle Puppy are two good friends of mine, and they're not overly judgemental. Just opinionated. Trust me, they are very good people.

Okay, now that that is taken care of (hopefully), I can start with the real blog. While outside smoking the other day, I was talking with this girl who will be known as Ducky. Now, before today I hadn't really thought much of Ducky. She is kind of promiscuous, and she has admitted this herself, and not that intelligent. Or so I thought. I ended up going with her on a trip to a town that is about 45 min away from Fargo, and the conversation we had on the way there and back changed almost every perception I had of her. She explained her childhood, and just all sorts of things that have happened to her, and the reason she is the way she is became clear. I actually gained a great deal of respect for her because of that trip, and she said that she had developed a better perception of me. But while thinking about that later in the evening, I got an idea. "One's actions say who they are, but one's words say why they are." Keep in mind, just because something is said doesn't mean that someone is listening. But I think this is a good statement, and I'd like to hear everyones opinions on it. Anyways, this post is really long. Time to go. Adieu. Josh

"One's actions say who they are, but one's words say why they are." Clever. You know how I love quotes. Also true, for the most part. One question exists--what about people who lie?
